   Raven – the planes make a triangle shape in the sky and the sign uses electricity

   Harrison – The trees give oxygen and you can count the jets in the sky. The sign is a rectangle and there are eight stars in the sign. There is also some light in the sky.

   Daniel – The NFL sign has four right angles and the lights use electricity to stay on.

   Farres – How many jets are in the sky? The jets need fuel, how many gallons of gas do they use?

   Josean-The screen is a rectangle shape.
   Adrian-Wings on the plane are trapezoids.
   Cierra-Trees
   Zoe-The jets burn fuel to fly.
   Angel-The billboard has 4 right angles.
   Lazaro-The jet uses gas which is a fossil fuel.
   Robertson-The field in the billboard has parallel lines.
   Branson-Jets give off carbon monoxide.
   JJ-Stars have 10 sides which is a decagon.
   Madison-Lights use electricity.
   Sebastian- Planes form a triangle with acute angles.
   Elijah-Smoke trails are parallel lines.

   Nashaun: “It is almost night time so you don’t see any color on the palm trees.”

   Yamil: “Electricity is lighting the board.”

   Haylee: “The trees are giving oxygen.”

   Sam: “There is gas in the planes.”

   David: “The Sun didn’t go down, the Earth rotated away from the Sun.”

   Jacob: “The wings on the jets look like trapezoids.”

   Briana-Billboard has a rectangluar shape.
   Cannon-3 jets + 3 jets = 6 jets. NFL logo 4 stars + 4 stars = 8 stars.
   Joaquin-The force of the jets may cause the trees to move. Lights are reflecting of the billboard.
   Brays-Jets form a pryamid shape 3-2-1.
   Aaron-Field has yard markings on grass.
   Jordon-Jets use fossil fuels to fly.
   Christian-Jets travel faster than sound which causes a lot of noise.
   Rhia-Jets are leaving trails of smoke that will dissolve.
   Keanu-There are 2 groups of 3 trees for a total of 6.
   Jensen-Lights in picture use electricity.
   Kayleigh-1 football + 1 football = 2 footballs.
   Kyndall-Light reflections are circles.

   Lindsey Nelson- Roosevelt 3rd grade 2nd Block February 8, 2010

   We found a lot of polygons.

   We have 2 questions:

   1. How many polygons can you make using the planes in the sky? We counted 6.

   2. If the pattern that the planes are flying in continues, how many planes will be in the 5th row? 10th row?

   Lindsey Nelson- Roosevelt 3rd grade 1st Block February 8, 2010

   We found a lot of SMath. We located rectangles, angles, cylinders and triangles.

   We discussed the following questions:

   What is the name of the formation that the jets are flying in?

   How high up are the jets?

   How many sides are on the stars located on the NFL logo? And what is the name of that polygon?

   Looking at the sky, what time of day could it be?

   What is the name of the trophy in the picture?
